Elecampane Inula helenium is a robust herb and at 6-7' she holds an architectural presence in the garden. Elecampane Elixir is made from freshly dug side roots providing small discs that work as soothing lozenges. The discs are macerated in honey and elecampane extract until they soften and are preserved. A best seller for years made from a root I have grown for the last 30 years here at the croft.
