Balm of Gilead Oil is a long, slow macerated oil of the buds of the Poplar balsamifera. The buds are harvested during the winter, steeped in olive oil for 6 months, strained and re-steeped another 6 months. The 2 oils are then blended. A topically applied preparation for relieving pain, soothing skin and improving function of joints and muscles that have overworked.
